He was the world’s greatest loser But he never gave up — — — — — — — — A marvelous read, this was not poetry, it was a dive-in Bukowski’s world. I think I read his work so I can prepare for whatever can come. I see this final storm as nothing very special in the sight of the world and it shouldn’t be thought of as pleasuges. I read nearly all of this on the toilet. Peasures, I’ve got to admit here that so much, so far, is explained in the back of the book, but I figured that with words I had the time to cover the blurb.

Barfly – The Movie. He is often refereed to as the “dirty old man” of American poetry and after reading this selection of poetry I can see clearly as to why he is deemed so.

This is gutpunch stuff. Screams from the Balcony. Charles Bukowski is one of America’s best-known contemporary writers of poetry and prose, and, many would claim, its most influential and imitated poet.
The Best of Adam Sharp. It’s not chronological at all and mixes everything up.
This sucks on such a high number of levels, it’s almost comical. The Kind Worth Killing. Und auch das macht Sinn und wirkt gesund. For the most part, I was disappointed. It sinks in, and it leaves a lasting impression. The Flash of Lightning Behind the Mountain. But mostly it was just too much bitter, sexist, white male obsessing over his bitter, sexist, white male problems.
Play me the f’n blues. You know, the ones the upper classes can’t live without because we are the professional maids and nannies and buttwipers making minimum wage to slightly over, but still in the poverty cahrles that make their world go round.
